Mary Anna Brandner 1838-1933

We recently made a discovery that broke through a brick wall in Dick's paternal line. Our original research stopped with Ferdinand and Catherina Brandner from "Bohemia." While searching for a son's second wife, we took a look at the trees on Ancestry (usually a last resort). 

Surprisingly, someone had posted Joseph Brandner's baptismal record from Haberspirk, Bohemia. I traced that item to its original post and found a wonderful researcher from Milwaukee who had created a database of immigrants from the Haberspirk area to Wisconsin, particularly Outagamie County. We were able to locate Mary Anna Brandner's baptismal notice in the church records.

The database containing church records from Haberspirk and surrounding villages is available online. Those baptismal records include the parent's names as well as the grandparents!
